The Texas Department of
Health (TDH) obtained their full asbestos program accreditation by the
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 1999.
Subsequently, SCAI became one of the first asbestos training
providers in the State Of Texas to apply for and be issued, by TDH, an Asbestos
Training Provider License (No. 00–0064) accredited
under the EPA Model Accreditation Plan (MAP).
SCAI’s EPA accredited Asbestos Training Program includes the
following goals:
-
Provide bilingual
(English or Spanish) EPA accredited and Texas Certified Training
instructors who supplement course information with years of actual
consulting and abatement experience.
-
Allow student access to
information regarding proposed or timely enacted federal and/or State of
Texas regulations.
-
Prepare students to take
the State of Texas asbestos mandatory tests.
